Performing activities that provide youth with work-based learning opportunities to prepare them for college and future careers
What are pathway programs?
They are preparatory opportunities or courses that are designed to help individuals build the skills, knowledge, and qualifications that they will need to enter a career pathway.
How will it help me?
The CHW and citizen scientist programs will also serve as a pathway program to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Chicago. We have faculty and staff from at least nine departments/units who will be meeting with the students on a regular basis and providing advice about various career paths, including offering paid and unpaid internship and shadowing opportunities.
